There are various approches for supporting and guiding people. Popular terms are, coaching, mentoring and counseling. They share many similarities both in their definition and in practice. Vectoring is a new approach in helping people to find their paths.
Coaching is a one-to-one process where a knowledgable and experienced person called a "coach" supports a person in achieving a specific personal or professional goal.
Mentorship is a personal developmental relationship in which a more experienced or more knowledgeable person generally called mentor (but not coach) helps to guide a less experienced or less knowledgeable person.
Counseling is also similar. Counseling also aims to help people clarify issues, gain insight into their feelings and thoughts and deal effectively with problems.
Vectoring, brings a new perspective for guiding people (including students, children and employees). Vector Theory assumes individulas as vectors with specific direction and magnitude. Any fault or misalignment in the direction of the vector is called "deviation". Similarly, the shortness in the magnitude of the vector is called deficiency. Vectoring aims to fix both the deficiency and deviation of the vectors (individulas) or in other words vectoring aims to fix the gap between the aimed and current vectors of individuals.
