Voluntary Unpaid OvertimePlease refer to: Livvarcin, O. and Fikes, L.T., alışan Davranışlarının Analizinde cretsiz Gnll Fazla Mesai Kavramı zerine Amprik Bir alışma, Presented in 17. Ulusal Ynetim ve Organizasyon Kongresi (17 th National Management and Organization Congress), 21-23 May 2009 We proved the existance of Voluntary Unpaid Overtime through several applications in Turkey. We believe similar results will be obtained in other countries as well. To prove the existance of Voluntary Unpaid Overtime we developed and used a visual model coined as Overtime Index. Overtime Index is a comprehensive tool for the assessment of overtime work. Overtime Index inspects all alternatives of paid-unpaid and voluntary-unvoluntary overtime work. Overtime Index uses a simple questionannire to collect data and a simple graph to demonstrate the results. Below is the results of research performed among Turkish employees in year 2009. As can be seen from Overtime Index results, 69 % of the 108 respondents to the questionnaire declared that they work unpain overtime voluntarily.
